An everyday object, a familiar form, acquires the collective memory through which it carries the familial appearance, the design of an interrelationship. Mathilda is a modern project in the architectural sense, in the proportional relationship between the whole and the detail. The idea is simple, perfect in the function for which it is reserved: two supporting pillars give solidity and belonging, supporting the seat while acting at the same time as a support for the backrest and as a stackable support. The considered and objective intuition brings the project into the present, with the possibility of developing a system with consistent, functional and recognizable seating surfaces.
Ash or oak frame. Seat and backrest padded with fire-retardant PU foam, in different densities. Available in the version with braided backrest and padded seat. Armrests covered with leather or fabric strips. Mathilda is not deductible. The chair can be stacked up to 3 pieces.
