Clarissa - The ambivalence of sitting
Clarissa is more than just seating; it is a fascinating game of ambivalence. On the one hand it envelops and protects, on the other hand it invites you to relax. This unique dual function is highlighted by the design, which artificially separates form and content as well as appearance and concept.
Originally known as the "hood", Clarissa indicates its dual function. The hood is an ancient and at the same time modern symbol. It can frame and protect the face, but it can also hide it or reject interactions. The result is a strong effect that comes from playing with contrasts. The three-dimensional elements appear to reflect the two-dimensional geometry of a drawing, color intersections complete without separating, and tension is stabilized, not dampened.
Clarissa is a dynamic chair for moments of relaxation and activity. He is always alert, but ready for rest and interruption. This combination of competition and cooperation, provocation and aesthetics makes Clarissa a unique piece of seating.
The structure is made of fire-retardant cold foam with a steel frame. The bogie is available either painted or with oak coating. The seat shell is not removable, but the top padding can be removed via a zipper to make maintenance easier.
